Real repentance is of two types,
1. A person when tempts to be sinned, repents immediately and comes out of it. Thereby he gets God’s favor.
2. A person, who commits a sin, then realizes it is a sin and then repents for doing the sin, whereas God forgives his sin.
Here are few examples taken from the Scriptures,
David
In 2 Samuel 12:13, “David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.” And Nathan said to David, “The Lord also has put away your sin; you shall not die.”
Herod
MARK6:26, “And the King was exceedingly sorry; but because of his oaths and his guests he did not want to break his word to her.”
Judas Iscariot
Mat-27:4, “….saying, I have sinned in betraying innocent blood ……”
Repentance after sin and then bridges the gap between him and God it is not GOD’S perfect will. The LORD wants us to repent before sin .That is as soon as it entre in to our heart it should be removed from our heart with the help of Jesus. It is as soon as the bad thought raise inside the heart without doing mistake get grace from god to destroy it . Heb.12.15. Prevention is better than cure.
We should be Spiritual like Jesus is the GOD’S will. We have to repent every day until the death and to be away from sin in all directions is the root of heaven.
Which of the above mentioned type do you my dear Brothers& Sisters do you fall, is it the first or is it the second category? Analyze yourself and repent if you still have not. May God Help you to grace to repent over the sins to avoid the sin entire into your heart please .Let we stop it by grace of God through humility.
