Jesus is to be our Role model of Godly Leadership

Greetings in the sweet name of our Lord Jesus Christ

For even the Son of man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Mark 10:45

It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.

The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus. Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.

After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciple’s feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place.

“Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.1 John 13:1-5, 12-17

Also a dispute arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest. Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them; and those who exercise authority over them call themselves Benefactors. But you are not to be like that. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves. For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? is it not the one who is a the table? But I am among you as one who serves.“2 Luke 22:24-27”

It appears that this dispute arose after Jesus had washed their feet and exhorted them to do likewise. How quickly they forgot and instead began jockeying for position and power. So Jesus challenges them once again to think and act differently from the world. Serving should be seen as a high honour and in keeping with the very character of God.

This vital category of Leadership Requirements covers much ground for a true man or woman of God to be QUALIFIED in. If a leader fails in these areas, he has immediately disqualified himself as leader. Most likely he bringing reproach upon the Lord. Both moral behavior& SPEECH itself are also included here. It also includes the powerful nature of Jesus’ humility & “love” which manifests [& can be discerned] in a person’s character, attitude, speech &behavioral gestures towards all others.

In 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 & Galatians Chapter 5 are found the clear-cut traits of Christ’s “love” & His “character”. [Gal.5:22]. Every thirsty believer can line himself up with these specific “checklists” & become continually more mature in Christ-likeness.

But, for every Leader [in fact, every believer], showing Christ’s “love” in one’s own character is the loudest-speaking evidence of all Leadership requirements. Although scriptures are plentiful with & guidelines for every ‘believer’ to abide by & grow in, a “Leader” himself has a whole 2nd set of Leadership guidelines he must also QUALIFY in.

However, whenever Jesus walked into a place, He was always observed as the perfect gentleman. His kindness & care for all others was overwhelmingly obvious as was His disarming humility. Once in His presence, even as a child & young man, clear respect, patience & kindness towards all people was quickly observable by all.

In His presence, the “peace” was inexpressibly strengthening. Every person who met eyes with Him could sense His true care for their best interests & welfare. Later at the cross & resurrection when full understanding opened to the eternal “care & love” He had for all people.

Scriptures say clearly that a leader who does not demonstrate Christ’s nature & attitude of “love” is no more than a “noisy gong” & “clanging cymbal” in the House of God. [1Cor.13:1, 2]. Although all “believers” must grow” into maturity & Christ’s “love” over a period of time, a “Leader It bears repeating that the “love of Christ” is what speaks the loudest of all Leadership Requirements.

When coming into the presence of a true & solid man or woman of God, then their character, speech, attitude &behavior s a very powerful reflection of Christ Himself & His love. By this kind of “love”, the Lord said, “all men will know that you are my disciples.” [John 13:35]

“Leadership according To God’s Standards”

Introduction

One by one, leaders are falling from the grace of the Lord. They have all too often, left their first true love; and as a result, their testimony is dampened with sin. Leaders attend conferences on leadership, seeking to find a method or methods by which they are to conduct themselves and lead those entrusted to their leadership. Yet, they continue to fail.

Some leaders feel they are entitled to some happiness or self-gratification due to the sacrifice of their lives, or the hardships they have endured. But they miss it! They have missed Jesus in the entire process. A true Godly Leader is a leader that has a only one craving, to stay passionately in love with his Lord! He will do all and anything to please the One who gave Himself on the Cross.

My heart is that in these last days, when so many leaders in the Church are falling, that the Spirit of God can speak to at least a small remnant of hearts; that they will fall to their knees and repent; and turn to Jesus Christ with all their hearts, with all their souls, and with all their might! Only God can make a Godly leader, out of a surrendered vessel.

So, as we embark on the discipline of leaders, within the church; all that is taught must point only to Jesus Christ. The Godly leader never loses sight of the King of the Kingdom. Without having this “first love” for his King, the leader will certainly fail, in the eyes of the Lord. Jesus Christ must always remain in his position of ruler ship and authority.

Those whom God chooses to lead, must do so according to His Kingdom principles, and not that of the worlds. The system of the world is a dark system, and it will always oppose the Kingship of Christ our Lord, in the hearts of God’s chosen.

For this reason, a leader must remain intimate with, and stay very close to his King and his Husband, Jesus Christ, the Son of God’s love. This closeness will produce a true love and a contrition of heart, by the Spirit. This closeness to Jesus will keep the leader, where he must be always remain, at the feet of his King. It is only from this position can one lead God’s people. Humility and death to self, even unto the Cross itself, will be the mark of the Godly leader.

The leader that God chooses and the one that He anoints, shall have a heart that is a reflection of the King Himself. The high bar of the standards demanded of any chosen leader within the Church, cannot be compromised for self-need or gratification. Every leader must be schooled continually at the foot of the Cross; this is the only place where all of the leader’s personal desires, needs, dreams, and aspirations must be presented unto the death itself. Let us lay aside our educations, our intellects, and our personal needs and let all come to Jesus as a child. He alone can make Godly leaders, by the power of His Spirit.

Finally.

My humble and foremost request is this is not to judge any other. All the people who judge other in the New Testament were destroyed themselves and lost the Grace of LORD. Judge others is not our business. The only almighty God can judge anybody, hence He only the perfect. We are all sinner by the grace of God we repent and saved. One save by the Lord how can judge any other in the whole world. You must honesty pray for them with love and burden on him. Because, they are also our beloved brother. This article is only to understand the truth.
